Gordano Messaging Suite Support Options
In addition to providing support to customers via support contracts Gordano Limited also provides a number of facilities which are available to all customers via the Online Support options. In order to use the Online Support facilities you must first log on to the server. To do this please use the form on the right of the page. You will need to know your customer reference number and one of your registered support addresses. Each of the facilities are described below.
Knowledge Base
A comprehensive Knowledge Base covering issues relating to the Gordano Messaging Suite itself and also other related areas such as issues with Operating Systems, TCP/IP Sockets, Firewalls, talking to other mail servers, etc. The Knowledge Base should be the first port of call for help with resolving any issues and should always be checked prior to contacting Support as the likelihood is that your question will have been asked, and answered, previously.
Account
This section allows you to manage the status of your support contract, such as changing your contact details, email addresses etc.
You can also set a password to protect your support information, request that your product keys are resent to you and so on.
Messages
All email messages that are sent between yourself and the Gordano Support Department are stored in our support database. This section allows all of these messages to be reviewed. This is particularly useful if, for instance, you are having problems sending or receiving email. Contact with the support department can be maintained via a web browser, messages sent and responses read.
Versions
Full details of software version releases are available including, new features, enhancements, fixes and security issues addressed in each version.
Patches
From time to time, issues may be found in software that require a fix, but a full rebuild of the software is not required. When such an event occurs, it's common practice to issue something called a patch (or hotfix) to fix the problem. A patch is usually a file (or files) that replace the file which is causing the problem in the software. Whenever a patch is released for the Gordano Messaging Suite, information about that patch can be found on these pages along with a link to download the patch itself.
Tutorials
A number of tutorials have already been developed to assist in your understanding of how Internet Messaging works. These are only available to customers that have logged on to the system. Topics covered include the basics of Internet Messaging, securing mail servers, disaster recovery, virus information and so on.
